Why did this Begin
I started off with Arab Spring Activism which gave to be protesters a reason to get to the streets and protest against what Assad was doing. Tired of Authoritarian governments the Requested change. Assad,at first, welcomed people into his country with promises of reform but did not do so and created a state of being that did not please the people in the slightest. Such a thing only happened to upset them. Most still attempted to protest in peace but soon push would come to shove. (left is Assad)
Government vs People
When it came down to it the government had little to no tolerance for such a thing. The government brutally responded with torture, arrests and even killing off Protesters. The protesters not standing for such a thing retaliated brutally and also responded with torture and killing policemen. This escalated further into a violent power struggle between the government with guns on gun action. Tanks were sent in an the government has the advantage due to having allies and the rebels are in small groups and are not united or organised enough to cause the needed amount of damage to overthrow the government and form a new one.
Just how Involved are We
Well at this point the U.S. has refrained from being involved due to there is no group we really favor. However if this were to affect us to the point were our peoples lives where at stake we would surely jump in to stop the conflict. There have been reports of us making "plans just in case a situation arose." However at this point there is no telling whether or whether not we are going to get involved to help. Us barging could change the tide of conflict drastically and other countries would follow our lead. (what do you think of the accuracy of this comic?)
Just What May Happen
I have developed some hypotheses based on if either the rebels or if the government wins. If the rebels win I can imagine a government more fit for them and without the government style they have now. As well as serious repercussions for Assad and other workers of the government. However if Assad wins I can see many rebels being put to death or worse. As well as the governments grip being tightened and far harsher laws being put in place to deter any other challengers of Assad's rule.(How do you think this will play out)
What Examples of Good Government were Shown and Compare/Contrast
This shows no example of good government. Only a corrupt and horrid one devoid of democracy. The people are oppressed and gunned down for expressing their opinions. It is horrid the way they treat their people is disagreeable and someone really needs to change it. It goes along with others such as glorious revolution and American by how the silenced and oppressed go out of their way to regain their freedom. It is also bloody and a pure mess like the french and my innocents are swallowed up by riots like in the revolts of the French.

Final thoughts
All in all I think that the whole ordeal of this Syrian problem is very saddening and tragic. To not be able to speak your mind and suffer no governmental back lash is a blessing on should no be abused. These people are brave to fight for their freedom and deserve all the help they can get. It is probable that this war will reduce the country to ruble and the new leader will inherit this rubble and have to find a way to unite and fix a broken people. I can only say best of luck to Syria and may the right things happen.
